Tyler Smoot

Tyler Smoot is a recent graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law with a Doctor of Law - JD degree. He also holds a Master of Divinity focusing on Bible/Biblical Studies and Arts & Theology from Duke University Divinity School and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Religious Studies and Psychology from Baylor University.

With a diverse background, Tyler has experience as a Term Law Clerk at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, a Law Clerk at Wiggins, Childs, Pantazis, Fisher, & Goldfarb LLC, a Summer Law Clerk at the same firm, and a Summer Associate Law Clerk at Baker Donelson.

In addition to his legal pursuits, he has a teaching background, having worked as an Adjunct Professor at Shelton State Community College. Tyler has also shared his musical talents, serving as a Blues Instructor at the Alabama Blues Project and Minister Of Music at Servant Community.

Tyler Smoot has showcased his commitment to social justice through roles such as a Summer Intern in the Economic Justice Project at the Southern Poverty Law Center and Pastoral Intern positions at Duke Ministry Internships Abroad and First Baptist Church, Henderson, NC.

With a blend of legal, educational, and musical experience, Tyler Smoot brings a unique perspective and skill set to his pursuit of a legal career in Alabama.
