Tyler Orcutt

Tyler Orcutt is a Senior Policy Manager at the Coalition for Community Solar Access, where he has been involved in advocating for community solar initiatives across the United States. His tenure in this role lasted from May 2022 to August 2023, during which he focused on policies that support the growth and accessibility of community solar projects.23

Educational Background and Experience: Orcutt has a robust educational background in energy policy, having been recognized as a Dow Sustainability Fellow while studying at the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. His academic work includes co-authoring a paper on renewable energy policies in Illinois, which discusses the state's transition to renewable energy sources and the implications for community solar development.1

Prior to his role at the Coalition for Community Solar Access, Orcutt worked at Nexamp and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where he gained substantial experience in renewable energy policy and project management.34 His expertise lies in navigating the complexities of energy regulations and advocating for policies that enhance the deployment of solar energy solutions, particularly for underserved communities.
