Tudor Clee
Founder, Touchable Earth
Tudor Clee is the founder of Touchable Earth, a non-profit educational organization based in New Zealand that aims to help children learn about different communities around the world from a child's perspective.1 He started the concept in September 2023, funding the initial development through his law practice, investing around $150,000 in the project.1
Background and Motivation: The idea for Touchable Earth originated from Clee's own childhood curiosity, specifically remembering how intrigued he was at age 10 after seeing Roger Milla, the Captain of the Cameroon Football team, at the 1990 World Cup.1 Despite having no children of his own and a small extended family when he began the project, Clee was committed to creating educational content that gives children credit for their knowledge and understanding.1
Project Philosophy: Clee's organization focuses on creating educational content that is unique in its approach - featuring children teaching other children about their communities, rather than adults providing an external perspective. The goal is to foster global empathy and open-mindedness by allowing children to share their own stories and perspectives.1
The project is currently led by Giota Kalogirou as the new Director, and they have already provided their solution free to over 100,000 students worldwide.1
