Dr. Tuan Q. Phan is an Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) of Marketing, Innovation & Information Management, Business School. He serves as the program director for the HKU Bachelor of Science in Marketing Analytics & Technology, and the director of the Representative Office of HKU Vietnam. Dr. Phan also holds the position of the current president of the Vietnam Chapter of the Association of Information Systems (VAIS).
His research interests span multiple disciplines like economics, marketing, consumer behavior, computer science, and statistics, utilizing large datasets. Dr. Phan's expertise covers industries including FinTech, retail, e-commerce, logistics, social media, technology, and education. His work has been published in esteemed journals like Harvard Business School Publishing, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Research, Information Systems Research, and Electronic Commerce Research.
Dr. Phan earned his Doctor of Business Administration (PhD) specializing in Business - Marketing from Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Apart from academia, he also acts as an expert witness, entrepreneur, and consultant for industry leaders.
