Tuan Nguyen

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan is a prominent figure in the realm of leadership, innovation, and AI, known for his roles as co-founder and Director of The Michael Dukakis Institute for Leadership and Innovation (MDI), as well as the co-founder and CEO of The Boston Global Forum (BGF). He gained recognition from Vietnam National Television (VTV) as Person of The Year in 2018 for his groundbreaking AI World Society Initiative (AIWS) and pioneering the notion of AI-Government.

With a rich history of entrepreneurial endeavors, Tuan holds the esteemed position of Founder, CEO, and Editor-in-Chief of VietNamNet, a leading online news platform in Vietnam. Previously, he founded and led VASC Software and Media Company, as well as VietNet, the first Internet service provider in Vietnam, earning accolades from the Government of Vietnam as one of the country's most outstanding young talents in 1996.

During his tenure as a Shorenstein Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School in 2007, Tuan delved into the analysis of electronic media trends in Vietnam, contributing significantly to the field. He also contributed his expertise to the Harvard Business School Global Advisory Board and chaired the International Advisory Committee of UNESCO-UCLA Chair on Global Learning and Global Citizenship Education at the University of California Los Angeles.

In addition to his impactful initiatives, Tuan spearheaded the creation of Global Cybersecurity Day, orchestrated the BGF-G7 Summit Initiative, and co-authored the Ethics Code of Conduct for Cyber Peace and Security (ECCC), Global Leader Scorecard. Together with Governor Michael Dukakis, he founded the AI World Society Initiative in 2017, unveiling the Concepts of AI-Government in 2018. Tuan's contributions include establishing prestigious awards such as the World Leader in AI World Society Award and AI World Society Distinguished Lecture, and co-authoring the AI World Society Ethics and Practices Index, in addition to being a co-founder of AIWS Innovation Network (AIWS.net).

Tuan's educational background is as diverse as his accomplishments, having pursued studies in Media at the Shorenstein Center at Harvard Kennedy School, Mathematics at Dalat University, and Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
