Ts. Dr. Chua Wen-Shyan

Dr. Chua Wen-Shyan, a Ph.D. holder and a member of MIET and P.Tech (MBOT), is a highly self-motivated professional with a strong background in Control Systems Engineering. He has over 5 years of experience in research and development focusing on Predictive Maintenance, Fault Detection and Classification, Automation and Control, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Digital Twin Design and Development.

His expertise lies in developing advanced Fault Detection and Classification methodologies for real-time monitoring in complex engineering systems. Dr. Chua is currently part of the Industry Advisory Panel for the Mechatronics Engineering department at Monash University Malaysia, where he contributes his insights to the field.

Dr. Chua's educational journey includes a Bachelor of Engineering and a PhD in Engineering, both from Monash University Malaysia. He also pursued studies in Mechatronics Engineering at the undergraduate level and completed his South Australian Matriculation at Taylor's College.

Throughout his career, Dr. Chua has held various roles in prestigious organizations such as being the Head of Malaysian Smart Factory 4.0 at Selangor Human Resource Development Centre, Industry Advisory Panel member at Monash University Malaysia, and Senior Engineer at Western Digital. His diverse experience includes research, academia, mentorship, and industry placements, showcasing his versatility and adaptability.

Aside from his professional endeavors, Dr. Chua has been involved in academic and extracurricular activities, having served as the President and Vice President of the Monash University Postgraduate Association, an Academic Tutor at Monash University Malaysia, and Editor In Chief of Winanga-Li Editorial Board at Taylor's College. His journey also includes experience in the food and beverage industry as a Barista at Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Company.
