Tri Ngo is the CEO of Votion, a position he has held since January 2021. Under his leadership, Votion focuses on creating equity through a scalable democratic decision-making platform aimed at solving problems collaboratively.
Background and Experience

Education: Tri Ngo earned a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University (2008-2014) and holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2002-2007).

Previous Roles: Before becoming CEO of Votion, he was a candidate for the Oakland District 1 Councilmember position from November 2019 to July 2021. He also worked as a firmware engineer at Enphase Energy and Tesla Motors, where he focused on battery management systems. Earlier in his career, he served as a research assistant at MIT and was involved in various roles during the Obama for America campaign.
