Trevor McFedries

Trevor McFedries is a prominent figure in the intersection of technology, art, and music. He is currently a Board Member at Rhizome, an organization that supports digital art and culture, and has been in this role since 2020. Rhizome is affiliated with the New Museum in New York City and focuses on the preservation and promotion of born-digital art through various initiatives, including exhibitions and scholarship.124

Born on November 27, 1985, McFedries initially gained recognition in the music industry as a DJ and producer under the name Yung Skeeter, working with notable artists such as Ke$ha, Azealia Banks, and Katy Perry. He has performed at major music festivals like Lollapalooza and Coachella. Beyond music, he co-founded the tech company Brud, known for creating the virtual pop star Lil Miquela, and later became the CEO of Dapper Collectives after Brud was acquired by Dapper Labs.234

In addition to his role at Rhizome, McFedries also serves on the board of the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) and is the founder of Friends With Benefits, a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) focused on community and creativity in the blockchain space.123 His work reflects a commitment to blending artistic expression with innovative technology, particularly in the context of Web 3.0 and decentralized media.4
