Tre Garrett is a highly acclaimed artistic director in the world of theatre, best known for his work with Jubilee Theatre - the largest professional African American theatre in North Texas. With an impressive professional background, Garrett has worked in various fields such as Broadway, regional theatre, operas, national tours, and commercial live performances. A Bachelor of Fine Arts in Directing from the University North Carolina School of the Arts and a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from the Academy of Art University, Garrett's work has been recognized with numerous awards, including distinguished honors from the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, the Kenan Institute for the Arts, Eugene O’Neill Conference, Arena Stage, NAACP, the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Prior to joining Jubilee Theatre, Garrett worked as a Show Director for Walt Disney Entertainment, a Director in Residence for the John F. Kennedy Center, and as a Film Director at Freelance Film Director, among other positions. With his deep industry expertise, Garrett is a much-sought-after director who has showcased his skills in almost every aspect of the entertainment industry.
