Travis Trim

Travis Trim is a Fixed Income Performance Analyst at RBC Global Asset Management and a fourth-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Actuarial Science with a minor in Finance at Laurentian University. He maintains an exceptional GPA of 9.20/10.0 and has consistently made the Dean's List throughout his academic journey. Travis is poised to graduate magna cum laude, a prestigious academic honor at Laurentian. Additionally, he is a dedicated CFA Level II Candidate.

During his time in university, Travis established the first student-run finance association (FALU) within the Faculty of Management. As the President of FALU, he organized numerous lectures by prominent C-level executives from Bay Street, enhancing the academic experience for his peers and expanding their industry insights.

Travis commenced his professional career in 2018 at the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) in an entry-level role, steadily progressing to the most senior position in his department. With a role focused on training, mentoring, and troubleshooting for over a hundred junior colleagues, Travis honed his leadership prowess and developed a robust understanding of taxation principles.

Travis' passion for finance, mathematics, and computer science is complemented by his proven leadership skills, adept project management abilities, and an extensive professional network. This unique blend of expertise and experience is instrumental in his current role at RBC Global Asset Management.

In addition to his academic pursuits and current position at RBC, Travis has engaged in various roles and activities such as serving as a Business Analyst at Innova Wealth Partners, an Angel Investment Consultant at Northern Ontario Angels, and holding roles at the Canada Revenue Agency, including Resource Officer, Trainer, Reviewer, Clerk, and tutoring at Laurentian University. He also founded Arise Promo, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and organizational skills.
