Trantor Liu

Trantor Liu is the Founder and CEO of CakeResume, a platform he established in 2016 to assist job seekers in showcasing their skills and experiences beyond traditional resumes. In October 2024, the company was rebranded simply as Cake. Liu's vision for Cake is to create a comprehensive tech talent pool in Asia, addressing the growing talent shortage in the region.145

Liu is a self-taught web developer with expertise in product design, full-stack web development, and user experience (UX) design. His entrepreneurial journey began during his junior year at university, where he launched several websites, including an online bookstore called "Macondo" in 2013.23 He holds a degree from National Taiwan University and has previously worked as a Full-Stack Web Developer at Codementor.17

Under Liu's leadership, CakeResume has gained recognition for its innovative approach to job applications, allowing users to create personalized online profiles that reflect their professional identities more dynamically than traditional CVs.56
