Tracy Shaffer graduated with Honors from the University of Houston Main Campus in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and a minor in Psychology.
She completed her university required internship at HealthBridge Children's hospital, gaining practical experience in a Child Life practicum.
To further her career in Child Life, Tracy was accepted to The Children's Cancer Hospital at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Child Life internship program, where she honed her skills as an advocate for family-centered care.
Currently, Tracy Shaffer serves as one of two Certified Child Life Specialists (CCLS) at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake. In this role, she is instrumental in introducing and developing a comprehensive Child Life Program to support children and families through healthcare experiences.
