Tracie C Harrison is a highly experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with over 25 years of experience in acute and chronic care.
She possesses a unique blend of clinical and educational expertise, along with a strong understanding of research and health policy.
Tracie's professional focus lies in disability, aging, and long-term care, and she is dedicated to enhancing healthcare systems through the application of technology to support personalized and ethical nursing care.
She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing with a specialization in Women's & Gender Studies and Gerontology from The University of Texas at Austin, where she also completed her Postdoctoral Study as a John A. Hartford Postdoctoral Fellow.
Additionally, Tracie studied Health Policy on Disability and Aging Community Living and served as a Health & Aging Policy Fellow/ASPA Congressional Policy Fellow.
Currently, she serves as a Professor at The University of Texas at Austin, having previously held roles as the Director of the Center for Excellence in Long Term Care, Advanced Practice Nurse at Scott and White Cardiology Clinic, Assistant Professor of Nursing, and Staff Registered Nurse at Temple Baylor Scott and White clinic and Hospital.
