XIIth edition of the Florence Biennale, the international contemporary art biennial, which will be held in Florence, at the Fortezza da Basso, from 18 to 27 October 2019.

The Florence Biennale is the major contemporary art exhibition in Florence where it is regarded as an outstanding showcase of the international contemporary art production. 460 artists from 72 countries participated in the last edition, which has been held under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Tuscany Region, and Municipality of Florence, and was attended by more than 10.000 visitors.

In the last twenty years, the Florence Biennale has offered to all participating artist an extraordinary intercultural and interdisciplinary experience. In recognition of this commitment, the Florence Biennale has been included in the program "Dialogue between civilizations" by the United Nations in 2001, and has obtained the patronage of the Italian National Commission for UNESCO in 2017.

During each edition, all the artists participating in the Florence Biennale compete for the Lorenzo il Magnifico Award. The awards are conferred by an International Jury composed by outstanding personalities in the world of art and culture.

Moreover, within the framework of the Florence Biennale, "Lifetime Achievement Awards" are conferred to individuals who have reached pinnacles of artistic achievement for their contribution to culture: Marina Abramović, David Hockney, Christo & Jeanne-Claude, Gilbert & George, Anish Kapoor are among the recipients in the past editions. The award recipients are invited as guests of honour to the biennial, during which they will meet the participating artists and receive the award in a public ceremony.

 Studied art and teaching Visual Arts at the Tilburg Academy.
 Lived in various cities in the Netherlands working for various art-related organizations. Specialized with a broad knowledge of contemporary art on national and international level in all fields
 Started working at Kunst.nl in 2001 in the function of art depot administrator and the creator of art collections  for companies.  Kunst.nl is the largest art rental company in the Benelux.

Onderdeel van het collectie beheer team van B.A.S. 
Wat inhield dat ik contacten onderhield met bestaande kunstenaars en altijd bezig was om nieuwe contacten en kunstwerken toe te kunnen voegen aan het bestaande netwerk en de kunstcollectie.
Verantwoordelijk voor het op maat maken van kunstcollecties voor bestaande en nieuwe klanten.
Om deze vervolgens te presenteren in de galerie en het keuzeproces hierbij te begeleiden samen met de desbetreffende accountmanager.
Daarnaast verantwoordelijk voor het beheer en de opslag van de bedrijfscollectie van onszelf en van derde.
Tevens werkzaam geweest in de functie van logistiek medewerker, inrichter [het op locatie adviseren bij de keuze van kunst en het plaatsen daarvan], verkoper tijdens kunstverkoop op in-en externe locaties, BHV-er, gastheer, art-handler en transporteur.
Ik heb altijd met veel plezier en liefde voor het product gewerkt bij deze organisatie.
