Professor of Practice
Torsten Kjellstrand is an accomplished individual with a diverse educational background in Journalism, Literature, and English.
He holds a Minnesota High School Diploma from Alexander Ramsey High School, a BA in English from Carleton College, an MA in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and he has been a Fulbright Scholar in Literature at Uppsala University.
Additionally, Torsten has expanded his knowledge through the esteemed John S. Knight Fellowship at Stanford University.
Torsten Kjellstrand has held various prominent positions in the field of journalism, from being a Staff Photographer at The Oregonian, The Spokesman-Review, and The Herald to venturing as Visual Journalism at Torsten Kjellstrand LLC.
He has also served as an Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communications and currently holds the position of Professor of Practice at the same institution.
