Torrey Beek

Torrey Beek is a self-starter with a focus on the clean energy transition, specializing in distributed energy resources (DERs), resilience planning, microgrids, T-D coordination, and technology innovation.

Education-wise, Torrey studied Master of Science (MS) in Sustainable Energy Systems with Honors at The University of Edinburgh and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Environmental Science with a minor in Mathematics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Torrey has held several positions in reputable organizations, including being a Distributed Grid Strategy Consultant at ICF, Consultant specializing in Distributed Solar PV and Power Sector Reform at The World Bank, Program Analyst at the Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE), Energy Analyst at Oceana, Research Analyst at The Breakthrough Institute, Research Intern at the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), and an Intern as a Project Coordinator Assistant at the Town of Carrboro, NC Planning Department.
