Torben Schmidt

Torben Schmidt is a highly accomplished professional with a solid educational background and extensive experience in management accounting, strategy, and business development.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management Accounting from The University of Göttingen, a Dipl.-Wi.-Ing. (equivalent to MSc.) in Electrical Engineering and Management from the Technical University of Braunschweig, and has also studied Business Administration at Linköpings universitet.

Torben's professional experience includes key roles at K+S Gruppe, where he currently serves as the Head of Controlling in Management Accounting. Prior to this, he held the position of Head of Strategy & Planning and also worked as the Senior Manager of Strategy & Business Development within the same organization.

Before joining K+S Gruppe, Torben Schmidt gained valuable insights as a Senior Strategy Consultant at the prestigious Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he honed his strategic thinking and analytical skills.

His expertise spans across management accounting, strategy formulation, business planning, and business development, making him a sought-after professional in the field.
