ToQuyen Doan is a passionate and experienced development professional who serves as the Director of Philanthropic Partnerships at Women's Earth Alliance (WEA).1 She joined WEA in 2022, stepping into this newly designed role to co-design, implement, and steward a robust development strategy for the organization.1
Background and Experience
ToQuyen brings over a decade of experience in fundraising and development to her role at WEA. Her career in this field began unexpectedly during her time in the Peace Corps in Armenia, where she first recognized the importance of connecting grassroots communities with resources to implement their solutions.1
Prior to joining WEA, ToQuyen held the position of Development Director, Grants and Donor Engagement at RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network).1 Her experience also includes work with federal, foundation, and corporate grant and partnership management.
Education and Values
ToQuyen holds a BA in Environmental Studies and an MA in International Development and Social Change.1 Her academic background aligns closely with her professional focus on environmental and social justice issues.
She describes herself as a bridge-builder who is passionate about gender, education, environmental justice, and racial justice.2 ToQuyen believes strongly in the power of collective action and the importance of amplifying and supporting community-based solutions.1
