Tony Stout

Tony Stout is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Communications Data Group (CDG), a role he has held since November 2020. With over 27 years of experience in the Service Provider and IT sectors, he is responsible for driving technology and product direction for CDG, which specializes in telecommunications OSS/BSS solutions. His responsibilities encompass managing software development, research and development, IT operations, and product support.1

Stout has a strong commitment to leveraging emerging technologies to benefit underserved rural communities, aiming to facilitate economic growth in these areas. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Communications from East Tennessee State University, which he completed between 1987 and 1991.1

Prior to his current position at CDG, he served as the CTO at PRTC, where he managed various aspects of engineering and operations, and facilitated business development through network expansion.1 His extensive experience includes roles such as Network Engineering Manager at Hargray Communications and Sr. Network Engineer at Cracker Barrel.1
