Dr. Tony McCaffrey
Tony McCaffrey is a well-known mathematician, computational complexity theorist, and AI researcher. He has been recognized by several organizations, including being a keynote speaker at SCIENTIFIC FEDERATION, an AI Expert on the Advisory Board of AiGlimmer, and a Thought Leader in AI/ML at sicrum. McCaffrey holds advanced degrees in various fields such as Computer Science, Philosophy, and Cognitive Psychology. He earned his PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and has worked as an Adjunct Professor of Cognitive Psychology at Hampshire College.
McCaffrey is also a published author, having written "Overcome Any Obstacle to Creativity," a book that articulates techniques to overcome mental obstacles to innovation. He has also authored several research papers, including the first mathematical proof that there is a limit to how creative a computer can be, published in AI EDAM.
As an AI researcher, McCaffrey has developed BrainSwarming, a new model that combines classic AI, ML, and human creativity to counter each other's weaknesses in problem-solving. The process has been explained in Harvard Business Review videos and is soon to become an online platform with AI and ML added in.
McCaffrey has worked in various positions, including Head of Department at Eagle Hill School, Computer Science Teacher at Eagle Hill School, CTO at Innovation Accelerator, Inc., Visiting Professor at Bennington College, and Statistics Professor at American International College. He has also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and as a Research Assistant at the same university.
