Tommi Rissanen

Tommi Rissanen is a Research Manager at Kempower, where he leads the Heavy Electric Traffic Ecosystem (HETE) project. His role involves defining the project's roadmap and driving its initiatives over a five-year period, focusing on developing sustainable solutions for the electrification of heavy traffic, particularly trucks. Rissanen has structured the HETE project into four main research themes: charging technologies, customer applications, digital solutions and platforms, and future DC fast charging.1

Rissanen holds a Doctor of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration, along with a Master of Business Administration in Economics. He is based in Lappeenranta, Finland.23 His work is pivotal in fostering collaboration among various stakeholders to innovate and enhance charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, aiming to significantly reduce CO2 emissions from heavy traffic.1
