Tomas Doran

Tomas Doran is a highly skilled computer programmer with extensive experience in system and network development, site reliability, security testing, web development, software quality, and team management. He is an expert in multiple programming languages, including Ruby, Perl, C, Go, and Javascript. Tomas is also experienced in database management, cloud computing, virtualization, and containerization technologies.

Tomas holds a degree in MEng Electronic Systems Engineering from The University of Manchester. He is currently working at Yelp as a Site Reliability Engineer. Previously, he worked as a Senior Systems Administrator at TIM Group, a Developer at State 51, a Development Manager at Venda, and Head of R&D at NTA Monitor.

As an open-source contributor, Tomas has authored several Perl modules on CPAN, Ruby gems, and Puppet Forge modules. He is also a core team member for the Catalyst and Plack open-source projects in Perl.

Tomas is a regular speaker at technical events such as Puppetconf and Dockerconf, where he discusses open-source software, system design, and architecture.
