Tom Varghese is a seasoned professional with diversified educational and professional experience across law, politics, and foreign policy.
He holds a Master's degree in Law and a Bachelor's degree in Comparative Politics from the University of Bergen, along with additional studies in foreign policy from American University, sociology from University of California, Berkeley, and Droit from Université René Descartes in Paris.
Tom has worked in various prominent organizations, including Facebook, where he served as the Head of Connectivity and Access Policy in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that, he was a Visiting Policy Fellow at Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford.
His previous roles include managerial positions at Facebook and Telenor, where he contributed to strategy and policy development in corporate affairs. He also held positions in public and regulatory affairs, governmental relations, and served as a board member in several organizations.
Tom Varghese's professional journey includes diverse experiences, such as being a trainee at Advokatfirmaet Selmer DA and Telenor Norge AS, a consultant at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a research assistant at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and leader/board member in various student and foundation organizations.
