Tom Knibbs
Tom Knibbs is an experienced and highly skilled emergency planning professional specializing in community engagement, emergency response management, and the development of emergency plans. With an MSc in Emergency Planning and Management from Coventry University, and a BSc in Environmental Hazards and Disaster Management from Kingston University, Tom has worked in various emergency planning roles for over a decade. He is currently the Head of Resilience at Coventry, Solihull & Warwickshire Resilience Team, where he manages emergency responses at all levels, develops community engagement projects, and writes major emergency plans and multi-agency exercises. Previously, Tom worked as a Tactical Lead for the Warwickshire Local Resilience Forum at Warwickshire County Council, a Senior Resilience Officer at Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Resilience Team, a Joint Emergency Planning Officer at Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, and an Emergency Planning & Response Service Manager at British Red Cross. Among his notable contributions, Tom introduced and managed the Community Emergency Response Volunteering (CERV) Initiative in Essex, which strengthened community resilience by providing training and information to local volunteers on how they could help themselves and their neighbors in the event of an emergency.
