Tom Humphrey
Software Engineer
Tom Humphrey is a seasoned app developer who has been building innovative apps since he was 15. He has interned with the Telefonica labs team and developed an interest in the intersection of digital and biological systems. He works at the bridge between Human Sciences and Software Engineering and has developed keyboards that learn circadian rhythms, messaging clients that translate between smiles and emojis, polling location and satellite imagery to predict the state of someone’s immune system, and optimizing social gatherings for improved information flow across friend groups.
Tom Humphrey graduated from Eton College and studied Human Sciences at the University of Oxford, earning a B.A. degree with First Class Honours and an Exhibition Scholarship. He is an experienced iOS engineer at Citymapper and has previously co-founded and been CTO at Social 150 Ltd.
Tom Humphrey worked as Keynote Speaker at Campus Party London and previously held roles such as New Business Development at Golden Gekko, Product Research with O2 Money at O2 (Telefónica UK), Co-Founder & Head of Product at Lingo, and O2 Insurance Competitor Research at O2 (Telefónica UK).
