    Tom Bugert is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in strategic advisory, government relations, leadership, and environmental advocacy. He holds a degree in Philosophy, Philosophy, Chemistry from Whitman College. Throughout his career, Tom has held key positions at prominent organizations, such as serving as a Senior Strategic Advisor at the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and as a State Government Relations Director at The Nature Conservancy. He has also been a Leadership Fellow at the Henry M Jackson Foundation and contributed his expertise as a Board Member for various committees at the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Coalition, Big Tent Outdoor Recreation Coalition, and the Washington Association of Land Trusts. With a strong foundation in environmental conservation, Tom has also demonstrated his leadership as a Government Relations Manager and State Policy Director, advocating for sustainable practices and wildlife preservation. Prior to his work in environmental conservation, Tom shared his passion for language and culture as a Language Teacher through the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET).
