Toby Sachs-Quintana

Toby Sachs-Quintana is a passionate data scientist and software engineer with a comprehensive background in the machine learning software stack, adept at leveraging data and machine learning to tackle significant challenges.

In his educational journey, Toby pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Materials Science and Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Materials Engineering, all from prestigious institutions such as Stanford University and New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.

Toby brings valuable professional experience from roles such as Staff Data Engineer, Senior Data Engineer, and Senior Data Scientist at Tesla, as well as a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science.

Prior to his time at Tesla, Toby contributed his expertise as a Space Instrument Process Engineer at Google, the Array Team Lead at Stanford University, and a Phd Candidate Specializing In Solar Cell Stability at Stanford University.

Furthermore, Toby gained hands-on experience through roles like Cdte Equipment Engineer Intern at National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Biofuels Intern at National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and Electrical Engineering Intern at National Radio Astronomy Observatory.

His entrepreneurial spirit also led him to co-found Next Int Gmbh and currently serves as a Staff Data Engineer at Coursera.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Toby enjoys activities such as basketball, gardening, and reading, showcasing a well-rounded personality beyond his technical expertise.
