Tjako Fennema has a diverse professional background spanning several decades. He began his career as an executive assistant at an import company specializing in high-quality sound equipment in Rotterdam from 1971 to 1986. Transitioning into the music industry, he became the marketing manager for classical and jazz genres at BMG/RCA-Ariola. Subsequently, he held the position of general secretary at the Hi-Five Foundation, which represents a group of prominent audio-video specialty stores in the Netherlands. Fennema is the owner of Technicom Consultancy, focusing on the intersection of classical music, jazz, and home entertainment, particularly in hi-fi equipment. His roles have included overseeing CD productions, writing activities including being a columnist for magazines like LUISTER and Muziek en Beeld, serving as a part-time editor-in-chief of Klassieke Zaken Magazine, and GITARIST. Additionally, he served as the director of Octogon Publishers in Amsterdam and contributes to the art section of the Gooi- en Eemlander since 2007.
