Tina Seelig

Professor of the Practice, Stanford University

Dr. Tina Seelig, an accomplished academic and published author, is a prominent figure in the field of entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation. A Professor of the Practice in the Department of Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University, Dr. Seelig also serves as the faculty director for Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP), the entrepreneurship center at Stanford's School of Engineering.

Having worked as a management consultant at Booz, Allen, and Hamilton, and as a multimedia producer at Compaq Computer Corporation before founding the multimedia company, BookBrowser, Dr. Seelig brings with her years of experience in various industries.

Dr. Seelig has a PhD in Neuroscience from Stanford University Medical School and has written 17 popular science books and educational games, including The Epicurean Laboratory, What I Wish I Knew When I Was 20, inGenius: A Crash Course on Creativity, and Insight Out, all published by HarperCollins.

She has received many accolades in her field, including the Gordon Prize from the National Academy of Engineering in 2009, the MS&E Award for Graduate Teaching in 2014, the National Olympus Innovation Award in 2008, and the Stanford Tau Beta Pi Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching in 2005 and 2019. In 2014, she was honored with the SVForum Visionary Award, further cementing her status as a national leader in engineering education.
