Tina Marinelli
Tina Marinelli is a highly qualified infectious diseases physician with an extensive educational background in medicine, public health, and tropical medicine. Currently, she is pursuing her subspecialist training in infections in transplant recipients and immunocompromised hosts at the University Health Network, University of Toronto. Her research passions revolve around invasive fungal infections and healthcare system improvement for the benefit of patients, healthcare workers, and communities.
Throughout her career, Tina has been affiliated with several professional organizations and institutes such as the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, University Health Network, Australian Society for Infectious Diseases, and SA Health. She has worked in various positions as an infectious diseases physician, transplant infectious diseases fellow, non-executive board director, and chair of the college trainees committee, to name a few.
As a Chief Fellow at the Multi-Organ Transplant Program, Tina's expertise lies in infectious diseases in transplant recipients, pre-transplant evaluation of infectious disease risks, and post-transplant management of infections. Besides, she has experience in microbiology and has been part of the education committees of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
