Timothy Murphy

Timothy Murphy is a specialist in multi-modal micro-analysis with a strong background in various analytical techniques such as light microscopy, electron microscopy, X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, neutron CT, and vibrational spectroscopy.

Currently, he serves as a Geochemist at Macquarie University, overseeing advanced equipment including electron microprobes, scanning electron microscopes, spectrometers, XRF, Raman microscopes, FTIR, and petrographic microscopes.

Timothy Murphy holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry, a BSc in Chemistry (Hons) with a focus on Geochemistry and Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geochemistry, all obtained from the University of Western Sydney.
