Timothy Lee
Clinical Informatics Fellow at UCLA Health
Timothy Lee is a Fellow Physician in Clinical Informatics at UCLA, with a background in community health focusing on health policy and administration. He holds a MS degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where his thesis concentrated on profiling sepsis mortality risk in a rural hospital. His medical education includes work in global health, conducting needs assessments for underprivileged communities. During his residency in Family Medicine at UC Irvine, he served as Chief Resident of Quality Improvement and President of the House Safety Officers, demonstrating leadership in healthcare management. His interest in quality, safety, and improvement processes led him to participate in EPIC go-live implementation and sparked his fascination with technology's role in healthcare enhancement. Currently, Timothy's research revolves around evaluating, implementing, and analyzing health data and technologies, particularly in predictive analytics and machine learning, to understand their effects on healthcare delivery, health policy, business, and clinical practices for population health.
