Timothy Dolezal

Timothy Dolezal is currently the Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at the University of Notre Dame, a position he assumed on July 1, 2024. In this role, he oversees the management of the university's investment portfolio, which includes endowed funds, working capital pools, charitable trusts, and pension assets. His responsibilities encompass developing investment strategies, asset allocation, investment selection, and risk management for the Notre Dame Investment Office, which employs over 40 professionals dedicated to these tasks.13

Dolezal is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, graduating as valedictorian of his class in 2002. He has been with the Notre Dame Investment Office for over 20 years, having started his career there shortly after graduation. He was promoted to Investment Director in 2007 and later became Managing Director in 2020, playing a critical role in managing all aspects of the investment portfolio.12

In addition to his academic credentials, Dolezal is a CFA Charterholder and actively participates in various leadership roles within the finance community. He co-chairs the Notre Dame Wall Street Leadership Committee and serves on the Investment Committee for the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend. Dolezal resides in South Bend with his wife and six children.12
