Tim Russell is an experienced travel and tech specialist with a diverse background in the industry. He began his career in 1992 as a tour guide in Paris, eventually moving into sales and operations for prominent travel companies. He spent nearly three years at Open Destinations implementing and marketing Travel Studio, a travel tech solution, and worked with clients around the world. In 2003, he moved to Vietnam and spent 9.5 years in various roles, including IT project manager and Marketing Director. In 2012, he moved to Thailand and oversaw the marketing efforts at Remote Lands, an ultra-luxe Asia specialist, achieving significant increases in web traffic, enquiries, and revenue. In 2016, he founded Tineri, a mobile app solution for travel providers, which was acquired by Open Destinations in 2017. Tim's most recent role was as a Chief Operating Officer at Go Real Travel until the COVID-19 pandemic hit. In July 2020, he joined eRoam, a travel tech startup, as their Commercial Director.
