Tim Rann is an entrepreneur and investor with a strong focus on emerging markets, social inequalities, and climate change. With over a decade of experience, he has made 40+ startup investments in emerging markets and has successfully exited four ventures. Currently serving as the Managing Partner at Mercy Corps Ventures, a seed stage impact fund that invests in innovative startups with a particular emphasis on Agriculture and related technologies such as AgTech, AgFinTech, and Precision Ag. Tim has been an advisor to various impactful startups like Goldfinch, MightyAlly, and Empowa.io. Prior to his current role, he led startups and investment funds in countries like Cambodia, Vietnam, and Afghanistan. An outdoor enthusiast, Tim enjoys climbing and bikepacking, and is based in Panamá. Tim's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, and language proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia.
