Tim Heffernan is a senior corporate leader, strategist, and advisor with extensive experience leading and advising Fortune 500 companies in market development, government relations, public relations, crisis management, branding, and internal communications. He has advised corporate affairs, marketing communications, and market development executives in healthcare, financial services, retail, entertainment, supply chain, consumer behavior, environment, technology, and enterprise policy.
Before joining T3 Expo as the Chief Growth Officer/Chief Development Officer, Tim was the Managing Partner at Aperio Strategy Group, where he managed a team of experts in market development, competitive intelligence, commercialization, and go-to-market strategies. He was also the Head of Regulatory Affairs at Cable & Wireless Communications, where he handled regulatory policy and advocacy for the Caribbean and Latin America.
Tim was Vice President of Government Relations & Emerging Business Opportunities, and Vice President of Government Relations, Communications & Marketing at NCR Corporation before serving as the Advisor at the indoor and Member Of the Board Of Advisors and President at BRANDthrō. His work and leadership at NCR resulted in policy-driven growth initiatives that drove innovation, revenue, and cost reduction. He also managed corporate and marketing communications, including external media relations, executive communications, events, multimedia, graphics, digital services, community relations, and thought leadership activities. Tim is also proud of his patent-pending technologies resulting from his Innovation Council work at NCR.
Before joining NCR Corporation, Tim worked at Motorola, where he served both as Government Relations/Public Affairs and Internal Communications, and at KCSA Strategic Communications, where he handled Account Director responsibilities. Earlier in his career, Tim also worked at Nexgenix, Weber Shandwick, and The NPD Group.
Tim is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and studied at Richmond, The American International University in London. He also attended St. Anthony's High School.
