Tim Frend is a Principal and business development leader at HCI Equity Partners, a private equity firm focused on investing in industrial distribution, industrial services, and manufacturing companies. With over a decade of experience, Frend has been actively involved in leading deal origination and diligence, underwriting, transaction execution, as well as the development and management of key organic and acquisition growth strategies for their portfolio companies. He has worked with several platforms such as Tech-24, Strategic Delivery Solutions, MSI Express, and Power & Composite Technologies, and has also been a part of several deal teams, including Total Container Group and Roadrunner Transportation Systems. Prior to HCI Equity Partners, Frend had a stint as a financial analyst in the Global Industries Group at Banc of America Securities, where he focused on M&A advisory and capital raising for clients in various sectors such as building products, packaging, and metals & mining. Frend holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Davidson College in North Carolina.
