Scarlet City Studios is about telling redemptive stories through digitally driven media. We want to engage this generation in the environments they inhabit with narratives and experiences that bring them to encounter hope and truth. We craft excellent media containing life-affirming messages, like a scarlet thread in a tapestry that draws people’s attention and so lead them to experience the world in a new way. 

During my time at Scarlet City studios, I’ve held many titles. I've found myself doing whatever needs to be done. My primary roles at Scarlet City have involved writing and worldbuilding - creating the world our game exists within and then marketing that to the world. I’ve been heavily involved in international partnership work and transmedia. This work continues to increase and take more of my focus though the world will always be something Im immensely proud of and heavily (as much as possible) be involved in.

I learnt so much in my role with Brownpaperbag. Chief amongst these was the importance of the client. Managing the client's needs in accordance with what is achievable, but also the importance of nurturing the relationship before a deal is settled upon. In websales however, you don’t simply have to think about the client, but also THEIR clients. This taught me the value of sound product development, collaboration and shared intelligence. The value of listening well.

Giants  -  Monsters is a one-stop shop from creative consultation to social media through copy-writing and iteration. 

After working in web-sales, I saw an opportunity to help businesses feel empowered in the language they are utilizing. So often a company will invest money to look really pretty on a screen whilst sounding like a lemon when someone stops to actually read their content. Here, I honed my skills managing clients and contractors as well as the expectations of clients in the ever shifting world of web content.

Rhema has been broadcasting to the people of New Zealand since 1978. Over the years, we have grown from one man's dream and a backyard studio, to become one of the country's largest radio networks, reaching thousands of people every day. The first radio station in New Zealand to use satellite technology, we continue to break new ground at the forefront of broadcasting technology.

Rhema broadcasting group needed to raise significant money in order to re-lease their radio frequencies when their lease ran-out in 2010. During this time I came on board to help connect with Churches around the country and rally their congregations to get behind NZ’s premier christian media outlet. We managed a roadshow  which travelled through NZ and together with Rhema exec, connected with key stakeholder and partners in order to raise significant capital to keep RBG broadcasting, especially in the regions.

A vibrant, multi-cultural family of all ages where the love of God, the salvation of Christ and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit are known and shared with our community. We place a strong emphasis on worship, prayer, youth, community, missions and supportive pastoral care.  

My role as youth pastor was one of my most fulfilling roles. It was also my first job outside of retail. As you can imagine, I was thrown in the deep end. Through my time here, I was able to travel, preach and play music throughout NZ and the world. My time as a youth pastor has never truly ended, after 6 years I moved on to pastor elsewhere, volunteering for another church whilst working in the marketplace.
