Tim Bal is a seasoned banking and finance executive with over fifteen years of experience both in the United States and Europe. He is the owner of Balaguna Capital, an investment firm with interests in fintech, medtech, and other early-stage projects and startups. Tim has served on multiple boards and executive committees as a senior advisor, leveraging his expertise to grow companies and maximize profitability. Before establishing Balaguna Capital, he worked in Citibank Sweden and was responsible for managing lending portfolio profitability, conducting M&A transactions, and issuing bonds for capital adequacy purposes. Tim also gained valuable experience in a CFO environment while working in a software company in the heart of Silicon Valley. There he executed Wall St. reporting, recommended stock buybacks, and forecasted overall financial statements. He holds a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business from Golden Gate University. He also holds diplomas in DELF and DALF from Université Clermont Auvergne (previously Université Blaise Pascal) and studied Engineering, Construction Engineering at Åsö Gymnasium.
