Thorben Hett is a Senior Portfolio Manager at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), overseeing venture capital and technology buyout investments on a global scale. With two decades of experience in the venture capital and technology sectors, Thorben's career began with notable corporations such as Sony, Intel, and Bertelsmann before transitioning to focus on high-technology companies in the U.S. with SVB Capital. In 2013, he joined ADIA to concentrate on venture capital fund and direct investments worldwide. Thorben holds a bachelor's degree in management and economics from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and a master's degree in management from the London School of Economics (LSE). Aside from his professional endeavors, Thorben is also known for his role as a tennis umpire for professional ATP tournaments and Davis Cup competitions, allowing him to merge his love for tennis and travel.
