Thony began his academic journey by studying at Stedelijk Gymnasium Breda before pursuing a degree in Medicine at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, where he honed his skills in healthcare.

To further enhance his knowledge and expertise, Thony completed internships in Surgery at the prestigious Harvard Medical School, allowing him to gain insights into advanced surgical practices.

In addition to his medical qualifications, Thony also delved into the realm of Applied Physics at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, showcasing his multidisciplinary approach to learning.

Throughout his career, Thony has held various significant roles, including serving as the Medical Lead at Attendi, where he showcased his leadership and medical acumen.

Prior to his role at Attendi, Thony also contributed to the field of podcasting as the Maker podcast at Met het mes aan tafel, demonstrating his versatility and creativity.

Thony has also been involved in different medical institutions, having served as a Fellow Gastrointestinal Surgery at Elisabeth-TweeSteden Ziekenhuis (ETZ) and as a Surgical resident (AIOS) at AMC - Academisch Medisch Centrum.
