Thomas Schranz

Thomas Schranz is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Rakun, a startup focused on creating tools for individuals with hidden disabilities to communicate their needs more effectively, particularly in travel situations. He is also known for his previous ventures, including a chatbot startup called Dvel and a coffee startup, showcasing his diverse experience in the tech industry.

Schranz is a graduate of the Technical University of Vienna and has a background in software engineering, having worked for Play.fm GmbH and the Vienna University of Technology. His technical skills include programming languages and frameworks such as CoffeeScript, Backbone.js, Symfony, Doctrine, and jQuery. He is recognized for his dedication to improving accessibility and inclusivity through technology.12

At Rakun, Schranz collaborates with co-founders Peter Buchroithner and David Pfluegl to develop the Rakun Card, which allows users to share their specific needs in a simple and customizable app. This initiative aims to make travel more inclusive for those with conditions like ADHD and Autism, among others.12
