Thomas Mathis is an accomplished hydrologic sciences professional with a broad background in environmental programs and project initiatives that deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions to complex environmental and management issues. With a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences from Montana State University-Bozeman and a Master of Science in Hydrologic Sciences from University of California, Davis, Mathis has expertise in Hydrodynamic Modeling, Water Quality Modeling & Analysis, Sediment Transport, Groundwater, Remediation, and Data Analysis and Database Design. With a track record of coordinating and implementing both small- and large-scale projects, Mathis is also skilled in Environmental Modeling, Geographic Information Systems, and Hydraulics, and can utilize a variety of tools and technologies such as EFDC_Explorer Modeling System, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MATLAB, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, Microsoft Office, Acoustic Sensors, Meteorological Stations, In-situ Temperature Sensors, Remote Sensing, GPS Mapping/Surveying, and Hydrologic and Biological Monitoring.

Mathis has held numerous roles in various organizations, including Engineering Operations Manager, Project Engineer, and Water Resources Engineer at DSI, LLC, as well as Hydrologist and Water Resources Engineer-in-Training at Tetra Tech, an Earth Sciences Contractor at SSAI, and a Graduate Student Researcher at JPL (NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory) and UC Davis. He has also worked in the construction industry as an Assistant Construction Project Manager with Rebuilding Together Peninsula and in the wine industry as an Executive Assistant Manager with Kathryn Kennedy Winery. With experience in technical writing, grant proposals, and peer-reviewed articles, Mathis can clearly and effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
