Dr. Thomas Gass is a highly experienced Doctor of Public Health and Medical Anthropologist with a strong background in international development cooperation spanning over 20 years.
In his previous role as the Head of Policy and Advisory at the Swiss Red Cross, Dr. Gass led a team of internal consultants focusing on health, disaster risk reduction, and monitoring and evaluation.
He played a crucial role as the chief of staff in shaping the global program strategy of the Swiss Red Cross, overseeing knowledge and quality management, and managing a significant block grant from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
Throughout his career, Dr. Gass has been actively involved in managing health programs for Swiss NGOs, particularly emphasizing projects in sub-Saharan Africa.
He completed his Doctor of Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London, and holds a Master's degree in Anthropology from the Universität Bern.
Currently, Dr. Gass operates as a consultant in development and cooperation, offering his expertise and knowledge in these areas.
