Theresa Sexton

Theresa Sexton is a Managing Partner at Claritas Capital, a multi-strategy alternative investment platform providing capital to healthcare, technology, business services, and real estate companies primarily located in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.124

Since joining Claritas Capital in 2008, Theresa has focused on investing in healthcare, technology, and business services companies. She currently serves on the boards of directors for several companies, including Alchemy 43, Apcela, Forbes Travel Guide, Genomind, Kindbody, Marinalife, One of None (1/X), TwelveStone Health Partners, and Virtue Technologies.13

Prior to Claritas Capital, Theresa spent over 10 years with Massey Burch Capital Corp., a venture capital firm, where she was involved in investor services, fund administration, licensure involving the SBA, and transaction work.12 She earned her M.Acc and MBA from Belmont University in Nashville.2

Theresa has played a significant role in growing Claritas Capital into a business platform and brand that has deployed over $1 billion of private capital across equity, real estate, and private credit. She has shepherded multiple efforts toward advancing female-led companies and created The Athena Initiative at Claritas Capital, a multi-faceted effort to support and engage women within the investment industry.3
