Theo Vermaak

Theo Vermaak is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) with a passion for the accounting profession and learning and development.

He has extensive experience in training and consulting to the accounting profession and businesses on financial reporting, ethics, audit strategy, and risk assessment.

From 2015, Theo served as the chairman of the Forum of Firms, representing PKF International Limited and the mid-tier audit sector.

With a background in multinational consulting and training, he has worked with companies like Unilever and PwC in various countries across the world.

Theo's specialties include training development for accountants, consultation on ethical principles and auditing standards, and financial statement reviews under US GAAP and IFRS.

His educational background includes studying CA(SA), Accounting, Auditing, Tax, and Finance at the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, as well as a B.Compt (Hons) in Accounting and Auditing from the University of the Free State.

Throughout his career, Theo Vermaak has held key positions such as Chief Executive Officer at PKF International, Chairman at PKF South Africa, Regional Director Africa at PKF International, and Director of Accounting & Auditing at PKF O'Connor Davies among others.
