Thanh Mai

Thanh Mai is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in intelligent data processing, specializing in applied machine learning, big data analytics, and sensor data analysis.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Information Technology from Ho Chi Minh University of Sciences - Vietnam National University, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from KAIST, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from KAIST.

Thanh's career journey includes roles such as Director of Data Science, Lead Data Scientist, Data Scientist, Research Manager, and Researcher at various esteemed organizations like Trusting Social, Fossil Group, Inc., Misfit Wearables, and ETRI.

With a track record of innovating and improving systems, Thanh has contributed to projects involving Hadoop-based big data warehouse, in-memory database, and content-based image retrieval.

His background includes being a former Apache Tajo contributor at The Apache Software Foundation and serving as a BK21 Post-doctoral Researcher at KAIST. Additionally, Thanh has experience in part-time developer roles and as a Teach Assistant at Ho Chi Minh University of Sciences - Vietnam National University.
