Thandiwe Folotiya

Thandiwe Folotiya is a lawyer and legislative draftsperson in Zambia, with an extensive legal background and qualifications in law and business administration.

Thandiwe obtained her LL.B. (Hons) Law degree from the University of Zambia and a B.Sc. (Econ) (Hons) in Business Administration and Law from the University of Wales at Aberystwyth in the UK.

She pursued her legal studies while working full time at the Zambia Revenue Authority, where she later became a Legal Assistant and Assistant VAT Inspector.

Thandiwe was admitted to the Zambian Bar in December 2001, marking the beginning of her successful legal career.

She is currently a Partner at Folotiya and Chiumya Legal Practitioners, showcasing her expertise in legal matters and legislative drafting.

Previously, she held roles such as Legal Officer at the Zambia Revenue Authority and Project Coordinator at the Common Market For Eastern And Southern Africa, demonstrating her diverse professional experience.
