Tessa Flippin is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in venture capital, entrepreneurship, and social impact initiatives.

She is the Founder and Managing Partner of Capitalize VC, a Chicago-based VC firm focusing on pre-seed investments in diverse founders within the rapidly growing commerce industry.

Tessa started her venture capital journey at TechNexus, investing in enterprise SaaS technologies, and later joined Genius Guild Greenhouse Fund as a Venture Partner with a focus on fintech, health tech, and connectivity startups.

Before her venture capital career, Tessa founded La Plataforma, a fintech payments platform facilitating international money transfers in Latin America.
