Terry McKinney

Terry McKinney is an accomplished information security professional with nearly 20 years of technical experience. He has spent 13 years of his career focused on information security in the corporate and financial sectors. His expertise includes IT operations management, organizational assessment, data analysis, and technical security operations. He has an in-depth understanding of host and non-host based enterprise scanning, merchant and enterprise-based PCI, security program development, and incident detection and response. Terry has experience in information security governance, privacy data protection/classification, application security, policy/standards development, security awareness programs, insider threat mitigation, physical security, and business liaising.

Terry's educational background includes studying Bachelor of Arts in History at Tarleton State University and Foreign Studies, Language, History at the Center for Multicultural Studies.

Terry's professional journey began as a systems administrator at Electronic Data Systems and Sandford Internet Services. Later, he joined Bank of America, where he held different positions such as Vice President, Information Security Engineer - Remote Access Services Team, Insider Threat Team, IDS Team, Enterprise Security Monitoring Team, PCI Compliance, and Network Endpoint Scanning. Currently, he is the Vice President and Business Information Security Officer (BISO) at Bank of America.
